Sausage and Veggie French Bread Pizza

A great alternative to making pizza dough when in the mood for pizza.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread, sliced lengthwise and then in half shopping list
- Your favorite marinara sauce, heated through ( I personally like a sweeter sauce for pizza so add a tad of sugar to the sauce when heating) shopping list
- 2 cups cheese, shredded (I used a mixture of provolone, asiago, parmesan and mozzarella) shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- 1 small onion, sliced shopping list
- 1 small bell pepper, any color, sliced shopping list
- 3 italian sausage, cooked and sliced into coins shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400
- In skillet, over medium heat add onion and pepper
- Cook until tender crisp
- Place baking rack to baking sheet lined with foil
- Place bread on rack
- Top with Marinara sauce
- Add cheese to top of sauce, reserving 1/2 cup
- Add onion, pepper and sausage coins
- Sprinkle with remaining half cup of cheese
- Bake until cheese is melted
