Cheesy Ham Chowder

- 1 lb. bacon cooked, crumbled shopping list
- 1 lg. onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup diced carrots shopping list
- 3 tbsp. flour shopping list
- 3 cups milk shopping list
- 1.5 cups water shopping list
- 2.5 cups cubed potatoes shopping list
- 1 can corn, drained shopping list
- 2 tsp. chicken boullion granules shopping list
- pepper to taste shopping list
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded shopping list
- 2 cups cooked ham, cubed shopping list
How to make it
- In dutch oven, cook bacon until crisp. Drain and crumble(save grease for next step).
- In bacon drippings, cook onion and carrot until tender.
- Stir in flour. Gradually add milk and water.
- Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 min or until thick.
- Add potatoes, corn, boullion and pepper.
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 20 min or until potatoes are tender.
- Add cheese and ham. Heat through until cheese is melted.
- Stir in bacon.
