Ingredients

How to make it

  • Add ham and pickle to food processor
  • Pulse until desired consistancy
  • Add to mixing bowl
  • Add pepper
  • Start with 1/3 cup mayonnaise and add more until you get what you like
  • It's that easy....Mom would have loved it!!

    My grandmother used to make something like this, she called it lopgolly. I asked both my aunts for the recpe, but they didn't have it... guess grandma kept it in her "internal" recipe file! Thanks for posting, now I'm a happy girl!

    I have ham in the freezer and I have gherkins in the pantry. I think I'll make this! Love ham salad and crackers...thanks for the reminder. :)

    Nice post. I do a very similar dish but I dice the ham and gherkins pretty fine with ye old knife and then add the mayo. This is a bit chunky but I like that texture.
