Sausage Stars

These little stars are great for a football game. They are super simple and it makes quite a few to go around. This recipe is one of our go-tos for appetizers. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. crumbled italian sausage (cooked) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (grated) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups monterey jack cheese (grated) shopping list
- 1 cup prepared Hidden Valley Ranch Mix (Dry pouch mixed with sour cream) shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped red pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 package wonton wrappers (defrost in fridge day before) shopping list
- cooking spray shopping list
How to make it
- Make sure sausage is thoroughly cooked and drained then set aside
- Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees
- Mix sausage with chopped peppers, onions, cheeses, and salad dressing
- Lightly grease a muffin pan with cooking spray
- Press wonton wrappers one at a time into each cup See Photo
- Spray with cooking oil and bake 3-5 min.
- Remove wontons from oven , fill with sausage mixture and place on cookie sheet
- Bake in oven 5 min. until bubbly
- Makes around 4 dozen. Can prepare shells and filling the day before- keep filling refrigerator and shells covered in bag until ready to use.
