Ingredients

How to make it

  • I. Cook the pasta just al dente. It should be nice and firm when the dish is finished.
  • II. Blend together the sour cream & Nopalito salsa & set aside.
  • III. In a pot big enough to hold everything, cook the bacon about half done.
  • IV. Add the Italian sausage, garlic, butter & Celery.
  • V. When the bacon & sausage are done, add the pasta, spinach & basil.
  • VI. Heat stirring gently until pasta is hot and flavours are blended.
  • VII. Turn off the heat & add the sour cream/Nopalito mixture & salt & FG pepper.
  • VIII. Stir well & serve.
  • You can garnish this with a bit of parsley or cilantro and a bit of Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top is nice.

    You are tempting me with the 'nopalito salsa'. I go c-r-a-z-y
    in buffalo with no green chile , tomatillo based! Does nopal taste kinda like tomatillos? I took a class from a woman who 'waxed romantic memories" on nopales. and now you way across the planet.
