How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350F/170C.
  • Mix all ingredients together in a big bowl using a spoon or spatula.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking tin. I find the ones that come with the ovens perfect for this.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes. If you like the granola really toasted like I do, then leave for another 10 minutes.
  • Once it is baked, let it fully cool and then transfer to a airtight jar.
  • You can definitely add 1 cup of raisins or dried cranberries if you like. I do that sometimes and it turns out delicious.

April,7,2016--This is so good Ana! I've never used applesauce in granola before, and it's so delicious! I also haven't tried ginger in it either, and it gives it a nice hint of spice. I used half steel cut oats and half regular rolled oats and used maple syrup. I only had sunflower seeds and almonds today, and mixed in some dried cranberries. Yummy!!
My oven runs a little hot so I baked it at 325F for about 35 minutes, stirring every ten minutes. I used sliced almonds, so I cooked it just until the almonds were golden. :)
