From keni 13 years agoIngredients
Simple Syrup
- 3 cups water shopping list
- 3 cups sugar shopping list
For Lemonade
- 2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice shopping list
- 2 cups simple syrup shopping list
- 4 cups water shopping list
How to make it
For Simple Syrup
- In medium sauce pan, combine water and sugar and cook over medium low heat until sugar is dissolved and has reduced by about 1/3.
- Refrigerate while you juice the lemons :-)
For Lemonade
- Juice lemons into large pitcher.
- Add 2 cups of the simple syrup.(you will have extra, just put what you don't use in the fridge to use next time)
- Add about 4 cups of cold water.
- Stir and refrigerate or serve immediately over ice.
- Add your special extras just before serving. Mint, berries and peaches are especially good. Also, lemon slices added to the jug just before serving adds a pretty touch.
- *a hint to get the taste you like the most, just combine 1T of simple syrup and 1T lemon juice to a small cup and add 2T of water. Taste and adjust as desired before you make up the big pitcher full. ;-)
