Hamburger/Hot Dog Buns

- 1 Cup water shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 Cups All Purpose flour shopping list
- 1 Cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- 3/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 Cup shortening shopping list
- 1/4 Cup sugar or honey shopping list
- 3 tsp yeast shopping list
- 1 Tbs vital wheat gluten (optional) shopping list
- 2 Tbs melted butter shopping list
How to make it
- Place all ingrdients in the bread pan per manufacturs instructions
- For Hamburger Buns:
- Choose dough setting and press start.
- When bread machine beeps signaling the end of the dough setting, remove dough from pan and place on a floured surface. Divide dough into 8 equal portions and roll into balls.
- Transfer dough balls to a 9x13 greased baking sheet.
- Baste dough with butter and let rise until doubled in size.
- Bake for 10-12 min at 400 degrees. Keep your eye on them, some times they can cook really fast.
- For Hot Dog Buns:
- Choose dough setting and press start.
- When bread machine beeps signaling the end of the dough setting, remove dough from pan and place on a floured surface. Divide dough into 12 equal portions and roll into 10 - 12 inch ropes. Fold ropes in half so you have a bun shape that would fit a hot dog.
- Transfer buns to a 9x13 greased baking sheet.
- Bast dough with butter and let rise until doubled in size.
- Bake for 10-12 min at 400 degrees. Keep your eye on them, some times they can cook really fast.
