How to make it

  • Directions:
  • 1. In a large bowl, beat the eggs until light & foamy.
  • 2. Add the sugar and salt and whisk until thick & lemon coloured.
  • 3. Stir in the cream and whatever alky you’re using.
  • 4. Make sure this is thoroughly blended.
  • 5. Cover & chill at least three or four hours before serving, overnight is best.
  • 6. Give it a wee stir now and then.
  • 7. Serve in chilled punch cups or glasses.
  • 8. Just before serving, sprinkle on your personal dose of nutmeg. See Photo

    I am not a big eggnog fan except for the home made ones. I agree the store bought should never have a recipe as you do not want to duplicate it. I am thinking that a nice batch would go well to word off the chill of winter that is finely on us. Thank you.
