Newspaper Chili

- 4 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded shopping list
- 1 can(or 1 cup cooked) cannellini beans, undrained shopping list
- 1 can(or 1-2 cups cooked) black beans, undrained shopping list
- 7oz salsa verde shopping list
- 7oz diced jalapenos or mild green chilies shopping list
- 1 large onion, diced shopping list
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 can diced "chili ready" or "roasted" tomatoes, undrained(or, 1 large tomato, diced) shopping list
- 1/2-1T chili powder shopping list
- 1/4-1t cayenne shopping list
- 1T ground cumin shopping list
- 1T dried oregano(or sub extra fresh... I used dried Mexican) shopping list
- Kosher or sea salt and fresh ground pepper shopping list
- (if using low liquid products, thin chili with a lil chicken stock, if needed) shopping list
For Serving
- sour cream or creama shopping list
- chopped green onions shopping list
- shredded pepperjack,monterey jack or queso blanco shopping list
- fried tortilla strips shopping list
How to make it
- Put all chili ingredients in the bowl of a slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
- Serve with desired garnishes.
- Great with cornbread just like a traditional chili :-)

Fabulous recipe Keni!!
Everyone loved it too, even the kids. This is probably my favorite chicken chili recipe now, and I will make it again and again! :)
