Ham And Cheese Fondue Casserole Recipe
This can be put together the night before and bake prior to serving. A good brunch dish or supper.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups good quality french bread, cubed
  • 3 cups cooked ham, cubed
  • 1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • Few drops Frank's Hot sauce

Directions
  1. In a buttered 8cup casserole dish, make a layer of 1/3 of the bread, ham, and cheese cubes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour and mustard. Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon over mixture over bread/ham/cheese layer.
  3. Drizzle 1 tablespoon butter over flour and mustard mixture.
  4. Repeat with remaining bread, ham, cheese, flour mixture and butter.
  5. Should have 3 layers.
  6. Beat eggs with milk and hot sauce until foamy.
  7. Pour over layers.
  8. Cover. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until puffed golden.
  10. Serve hot with hot rolls and a tossed salad.

Well Hungry John, I just found it. It does look good. One of those comfort foods which I am all over. I'll do without the hot sauce though. :) Sounds like a good way to deal with the ham that is always leftover in pieces too small to work with except Ham Salad
