Ingredients

How to make it

  • Lightly grease 13 x 9 inch pan. In large saucepan, combine corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook until sugar is dissolved; remove from heat. Add peanut butter; stir until mixture is smooth. Add cereal; mix well. Immediately press in greased pan.
  • In medium saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips, stirring constantly. Spread evenly over bars. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes or cool completely at room temperature until chocolate is set. Cut into bars.
  • 36 Bars
  • *TIP*
  • For easy removal of the bars, line the pan with foil and then grease the foil. When the chocolate is set, use a spatula to lift the entire recipe from the pan. Cut into bars.

I'm a ditz today. Made the recipe using Malt-O-Meal's Honey Nut Scooters. When I put the melted chocolate on top, it wouldn't spread to cover. Assessed the kitchen for what went wrong and there was the cup of peanut butter setting in the measuring cup. Smeared it on top. It gave the topping a two tone look.

Took a pic. Considering whether to post. I'll give the snack a try in the morning.
