Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions
  1. Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla extract; mix well. Add flour and pecans; chill 3 to 4 hours. Shape in balls or fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven at 325° F for about 20 minutes. Cool slightly; roll in confectioners' sugar. Makes 3 dozen.
