How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Combine oil and chocolate in saucepan and melt over low heat.
  • Beat together sugar and egg replacers.
  • Add chocolate mixture and applesauce, beat well.
  • Mix in pineapple and vanilla.
  • Combine flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir into chocolate mixture until just combined.
  • Stir in chopped macadamia nuts.
  • Scrape into a thoroughly greased 9” pan.
  • Bake 30 minutes and cool completely.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the icing sugar and coconut milk until spreadable.
  • Spread over cooled brownies and chill until set.
