How to make it

  • Put all items in the blender and puree until smooth-add water slowly to obtain consistancy like smooth applesauce.
  • To serve spread around dish leaving edge lumped around circumference (like pizza comes out of oven)...so when you pour extra olive oil in center the edges keep it on top of the hommus.
  • Garnish with extra garbanzo beans
  • sprinkle top with paprika
  • Enjoy!

    Palestinians use chickpeas in hummos. The garbanzo beans are used in another breakfest food called "foul" in arabic. By the way, Palestinians often squeeze out some juice from a orange fruit (or some other sweet citrus fruit) and sprinkle some over the hummos dip. I tried it and it tastes great.
