Ingredients

How to make it

  • Wash tomatoes.
  • Remove stem ends and the centers, keeping whole tomato in tact.
  • Sprinkle tomatoes with salt and pepper.
  • In a bowl, combine butter, parsley, celery, lemon juice and crab meat.
  • Fill tomatoes with crab mixture.
  • In a bowl, combine cheese and bread crumbs.
  • Sprinkle cheese mixture over top the tomatoes.
  • Place tomatoes in a well-greased baking dish.
  • Bake in a 350° oven for 20-25 minutes until tomatoes are tender.
  • Remove and serve while hot.

    Love crab and tomato. This is on the list for Super Bowl menu. I think it'll be a welcomed alterntive to all the fatty, greasy offerings. Thank you! I'll let you know how it goes.

    Fantastic use of crab as stuffing in the tomato. I would have never thought of heating the combination but why not. As much crab as we have available, it is still costly but so what.

    Very nice spin on stuffed peppers. This would be a lovely addition to a luncheon buffet.
