Ingredients
  • 16 Medium to large mushrooms
  • fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. 1. preheat oven to 375 degrees. Remove mushroom stems and mince them. Paint caps with lemon juice to prevent discoloration.
  2. 2. Remove Italian sausage from casing and place in a bowl. Add chopped stems, salt and pepper and mix well. Spoon stuffing into mushrooms caps and into rounded shape. Place stuffed mushrooms on lightly greased baking dish. and bake for 15 mins. or untilsausage is nolonger pink.

I love anything Italian.... this sounds great...


I make a stuffed mushroom too, but haven't tried it with italian sausage. Will have to do that sometime. Mine is just diced peppers, ritz crackers & parm. cheese. We're big mushroom eaters.
