.Oh, is this good! The texture is just right, and it forms a tasty crust on the outside. You need to guard it if you are going to serve it at a later time! People just can't resist it. I recently took one to a gathering and it was gone in 20 minut... More

I baked it in two loaf pans, when I got to the end of the recipe and realized I didn't have a tube pan. I don't think they cooked for quite as long as is given in the recipe, just keep an eye on them if you're using this method!

I bookmarked this.... this would be wonderful to use in pretty parfaits.....I love poundcakes sometimes in parfaits instead of angelfood cake....

This is our favorite pound cake. It is also wonderful to use in a trifle. I've made lemon sauce for it, caramel sauce, toasted pecans, fresh strawberries and whipped cream.... I have even added fresh blueberries to the batter. I think you will love it.

I made this cake last night for Thanksgiving and it was delicious. It makes a nice crust and cooks up beautifully. The flavors blend well together and I love it just by itself.

Yes, I love pound cakes, and this one sounds wonderful. I am interested in the crust part.
Everyone in my family, loves crusts on their
pound cakes.
Using buttermilk is a little different as well.

Hi Rose,
I was wondering if regular milk can be used for this recipe? I've never made a pound cake and wanted to try it out today, but I only have regular milk. If not, I guess I'll be making a trip to the grocery store! :)
Thanks!

Does anyone know if you have to adjust this for altitude???? I live at 7000' and it didn't rise fully, though was still tasty. I did not have a tube pan so used to loaf pans, which usually works out. Thanks all
