How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Place pear halves hole facing upwards into baking dish.
  • Fill each hole with a teaspoon of cheese and spread a little extra around the surface of each pear.
  • Bake pears for 8 minutes.
  • While pears bake make the sauce by melting butter in a small saucepan over medium high heat.
  • When butter is melted pour in the pear juice and blend until smooth.
  • Add cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and raisins then cook until bubbly.
  • Keep warm.
  • Place pears under broiler just long enough to lightly brown the tops them remove from the oven.
  • Place each pear in a small individual serving bowl then top with cinnamon raisin sauce and garnish with walnuts and powdered sugar.
  • Serve immediately.

    Could we have measurements for the ingredients? How much sugar, butter, nutmeg, cinnamon? I could guesstimate, but do you have amounts?
