Gorgonzola Breakfast Pears With Cinnamon Raisin Sauce

- 6 canned pear halves (reserve juice) shopping list
- 1 cup of the reserved pear juice shopping list
- 3/4 cup gorgonzola cheese shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1 teaspoon butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup golden raisins shopping list
- walnuts shopping list
- powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Place pear halves hole facing upwards into baking dish.
- Fill each hole with a teaspoon of cheese and spread a little extra around the surface of each pear.
- Bake pears for 8 minutes.
- While pears bake make the sauce by melting butter in a small saucepan over medium high heat.
- When butter is melted pour in the pear juice and blend until smooth.
- Add cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and raisins then cook until bubbly.
- Keep warm.
- Place pears under broiler just long enough to lightly brown the tops them remove from the oven.
- Place each pear in a small individual serving bowl then top with cinnamon raisin sauce and garnish with walnuts and powdered sugar.
- Serve immediately.
