Chocolate Oatmeal Cake

This is a very rich cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 10 tbsp cocoa shopping list
- 1 cup margarine shopping list
- 3 cups brown sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup oatmeal (quaker rolled oats) shopping list
- 2 cups hot water shopping list
- 1 lg greased pan shopping list
How to make it
- In a dish mix oatmeal and water, set aside.
- In another dish sift dry ingredients.
- In a lg bowl cream together margarine, sugar and eggs.
- To this add the oat mixture.
- Gradually blend in dry ingredients beating well.
- Add almond extract.
- Pour into greased pan..
- Bake at 350 till done..

I just made this cake today and it is absolutely nummy! I sprinkled with some powdered sugar as not to over do the cake... My husband ate it out of the pan while still warm! Thank you for a great recipe!!
