1  3 Vidalia Onion Crumb Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 medium Vidalia onions, sliced
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Ritz crackers, or other buttery crackers
  • Extra butter to "dot" the layers
  • Black pepper, paprika, if desired

Directions
  1. Saute' onions in 1 stick butter until limp, but not brown
  2. Remove from heat
  3. Meanwhile crumble crackers (enough for in-between layers)
  4. Place 1/2 onions in casserole
  5. Sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan
  6. Now sprinkle with some of the crumbled crackers
  7. Dot with butter
  8. Repeat layers
  9. Bake uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until light brown
  10. ENJOY!
