FAMILY-STYLE-NUGGETS Recipe
Healthy. No frying. Can use any dipping sauce.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon margarine melted
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each)

Directions
  1. Preheat over to 425 F, Spray a large baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray
  2. On a sheet of waxed paper, combine all seasonings, mix well
  3. In small bowl beat egg, margarine, water
  4. Slice each half breast into 8 equal chunks
  5. Dip each piece into egg mixture, then into crumb mixture
  6. Place pieces on prepared baking sheet
  7. Bake, turning them once until cooked through and no longer pink,
  8. about 15 minutes. Serve immediately

Love this type of nuggets....


I'm always looking for "baked" recipes that eliminate the frying and a lot of the fat - these sound very tasty. Thank you!
