This sounds really good, but what are prickly pears? I'm use to regular pears, never heard of these before.

Prickly Pear is a cactus fruit and is found in the arizona region I was lucky enough to enjoy this while at my sister in laws resturant in Prescott, AZ and have found it in the local grocery store in the frozen juice section

Hmmmmmmmmmm so it's nothing like a regular pear, would love to try this, I'll have to check Kroger's and Publix's here to see if they carry it.

Its actually a purple juice but has a very sweet and a little dryness to it

This seems delicious.

I just picked up some prickly pear vodka from a trip down to Arizona..I may try to adapt it into this recipe. Thanks!
