When I lived in Chicago one of my friends treated us to these every time there was an Ohio State game.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C creamy peanut butter shopping list
- 1/2 C butter - room temperature shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 16 oz Confectioners sugar shopping list
- 12 oz bag of semi sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 3 Tbls Crisco shopping list
How to make it
- Day 1 - Mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar with electric mixer till smooth. Roll tbls size amounts into balls, place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper - refrigerate overnight.
- Day 2 - Melt chocolate chips and Crisco together and mix till smooth. Stick a toothpick in each peanut butter ball and dip in the chocolate, leaving a semi circle of peanut butter showing at the top. Replace on wax paper and refrigerate for several hours until chocolate firms up a bit.

Sunny... my mom used to make these for the holidays... they are wonderful.... of course in the south they have a different name.....
