Ingredients

How to make it

  • Drain all cans hominy
  • In skillet, over medium heat, melt butter
  • Add drained hominy, stirring around, until visibly "sizzling" and sizzle for a minute or so
  • Sprinkle generously with black pepper or to your taste
  • Remove from heat and place in casserole dish
  • Add green chilies
  • Dot with salsa
  • May add garlic, cilantro, and/or cumin at this point
  • Spoon sour cream evenly over the hominy
  • Sprinkle grated Monterey Jack cheese over all
  • Place in 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
  • DELICIOUS and ENJOY!

    I forgot to get back with you on this... Humble, I don't think so.. this is kick butt! I had to cut the recipe in half as there is just 2 of us.. I wish I had made the full thing... for left overs! Not a kernal was left!
