Ingredients

How to make it

  • Make sure you have made your deviled eggs, refilled the whites and placed 6 halves into a medium casserole dish. Or place three halves into two separate small casserole dishes if you want to be fancy for two people.
  • Cook onion and green pepper in one tablespoon butter until tender, then blend in 1 1/2 T flour. Add tomatoes, sugar, dash salt, and dash of pepper. Cook and stir until bubbly. Pour mixture around deviled eggs.
  • Next, combine bread crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle this over deviled eggs. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes.

Three Whole Deviled Eggs, makes six halves. This recipe for two gives each person 3 halves.

3 whole eggs, or 3 halves? These sound totally tasty.

This sounds very intriquing. Mom always made her devilled eggs sweet, and I can't see that working in this dish. But I'm sure willing to try with a savory devilled egg. One with capers for sure.
