Old English Cheese Spread Recipe
This is so easy. But so much better than just putting out a block of cheese.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 pound mild cheddar cheese, cut in cubes
  • 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (5 1/2 ounce) can spicy V8 juice (or 1/3 cup tomato juice)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, thinly sliced

Directions
  1. In saucepan, combine mayonnaise, milk, cheese, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in juice, horseradish and green onions.
  5. Spoon into serving bowl or crock.
  6. Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
  7. This makes 2 cups.

How firm does the cheese get? Is it spreadable or kinda runny like dip? Just curious, I'll be giving it a try anyway. :)
