Very close to Abe's S. Main Wilkes-Barre. But I didn't use an all beef hot hog, and that may have made the difference. Be sure to use grilled or pan fried the dogs, and not boiled. Steam the buns if you can, it prevents them from breaking. Also, I could actually taste the cumin, so a full tablespoon is a bit much. I'll try less next time. And next time I think I'll sift the onions out of the dry onion soup as it changes the texture. Delicious, I'll definitely be making this again.

Look's good Just wondering if this is the Abe's on South Main St. Recipe. Mis-spent my youth eating those dog's and most of my adult life trying to come up with the same recipe......

Oh man - send those paramedics again! I LOVE a chili dog, and now I can make my own topping (bean-less, the way chili dogs should be, for ME at least!). I can't wait to give this one a try!
