Ingredients

How to make it

  • Trim steak and cut into small portions (tips or strips).
  • Salt, pepper, and flour meat.
  • Brown meat in oil.
  • Add onion & garlic, and brown slightly.
  • Add water, steak sauce, wine, boullion, and mushrooms.
  • Stir to loosen meat particles on bottom of pan.
  • Cover and simmer slowly 1 hour or until tender.
  • Serve with buttered egg noodles.
  • Note: just sprinkle the flour, salt and pepper over the meat. You could also shake in a bag. you don't need to coat every piece.
  • Note: I got this recipe from my cousin a few years ago. I believe it originally came from a Beta Sigma Phi cookbook from the 1960s.
