Adzuki Meshing Red Beans And Rice Dated 1919

- 1-1/2-cups small dry red beans or dry kidney beans shopping list
- 1 cup uncooked rice shopping list
- 1-teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons dry wine shopping list
- 1 tablespoon toasted black sesame shopping list
How to make it
- Rinse beans then cover with cold water and let soak 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain then cover with fresh water plus salt.
- Boil then reduce heat and simmer until tender about 1-1/2-hours.
- Drain but retain liquid.
- Prepare rice by using bean liquid plus enough water to make 1-1/2-cups liquid.
- Cover and bring to boil.
- Add beans and bring to boil again then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
- Add wine.
- Mix gently and remove from heat and let sit until sake is absorbed. Cool.
