Soup Elegant BLUE RIBBON

- 6-1/2 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 2 cups heavy cream shopping list
- ham, about 2 cups (can use deli-ham) shopping list
- 3/4 cup grated swiss cheese shopping list
- 2 cups cooked chicken shopping list
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup celery, diced shopping list
- salt, to taste shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper OR fresh ground black pepper, to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Saute the onions and celery in olive oil, and cook a minute or two
- In large pot add broth, ham, cooked chicken, celery, onion, and bring just to boiling, but do not boil
- In medium pot place heavy cream and swiss cheese; heat just until cheese is melted, stirring frequently
- Then add melted cheese mixture to the large pot, add salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat again slowly, with lid
- May thicken with a little flour and water mixed if desired
- DELICIOUS!
