Italian Biscuit Tortoni Recipe
So good at brunch or after dinner. Great family passed-down Italian ethnic dessert

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup crushed macaroons
  • 1/2 cup crushed toasted almonds
  • 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 Tbsp. dark rum
  • 3 or 4 maraschino cherries

Directions
  1. Mix the macaroons, most of the almonds, the sugar and 1 cup of the cream together.
  2. Whip the remaining cream and fold it and the rum into the first mixture, stirring gently.
  3. Spoon the mixture into paper muffin cups and freeze.
  4. After about 2 hrs. sprinkle the tops with remaining crushed almonds.
  5. Place 1/2 cherry in the center of each cup for decoration.
  6. Return to freezer.
  7. Fills 6 to 8 paper cups

This is one of the SBs favourites, he likes his ith Grappa though (personally, ew!)
