Pain Perdu

- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3 Tbsp sugar shopping list
- 3/4 c milk shopping list
- 1/4 c dry sherry shopping list
- 8 pieces thick sliced white bread (or French bread) shopping list
How to make it
- Blend together the eggs, salt and sugar
- Blend in the milk and sherry thoroughly
- Dip and soak each piece of bread, and make as you would make french toast, frying on the grill in butter.

Love the mellow nuttiness the sherry adds to the mix. Yum...topped ours with browned butter and lots of powdered sugar.
