Baked Chicken With Mushrooms

- 3 lb frying chicken shopping list
- 3 Tbs chicken fat or butter shopping list
- 1/2 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 10.5 oz. can chicken broth shopping list
- 3 Tbs water shopping list
- 2 Tbs potato starch like: Manischewitz® shopping list
- 1/4 lb mushrooms, diced shopping list
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup shopping list
How to make it
- Cut chicken into quarters. Heat the fat in a large skillet.
- Add chicken and sauté until brown.
- Place chicken in a baking dish.
- To the fat in the skillet, add onion powder, garlic powder and condensed soup.
- Blend water with potato starch until smooth.
- Gradually add this mixture to broth mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Add mushrooms and gravy to chicken.
- Cover (use aluminum foil if pan has no cover) and bake in a 350° oven for one hour or until tender.
