How to make it

  • Cut chicken into quarters. Heat the fat in a large skillet.
  • Add chicken and sauté until brown.
  • Place chicken in a baking dish.
  • To the fat in the skillet, add onion powder, garlic powder and condensed soup.
  • Blend water with potato starch until smooth.
  • Gradually add this mixture to broth mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Add mushrooms and gravy to chicken.
  • Cover (use aluminum foil if pan has no cover) and bake in a 350° oven for one hour or until tender.

    Sounds very good. Don't tell Gramma, but I'm going to use corn starch because it's right there in the cupboard. Thanks for the post.

    Is there something missing from the ingredients? I see condensed soup in the directions but not the list? Sounds good, I'd love to try it sometime!
