Ginger Green And Red Tomatoes

- 6 lbs green tomatoes shopping list
- 2 lbs red tomatoes shopping list
- 5 lbs sugar shopping list
- 3 lemons, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 tsp whole cloves shopping list
- 3 (1 1/2 in. ) pieces ginger root shopping list
How to make it
- Scald the tomatoes, peel, and cut into quarters
- Stir in the sugar, lemons, and spices
- Bring to boiling and then reduce heat
- Cook slowly until mixture thickens.
- Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal
- About 8 pints.
- Some may want to use pressure cooker for canning (10 min.)
