How to make it

  • Scald the tomatoes, peel, and cut into quarters
  • Stir in the sugar, lemons, and spices
  • Bring to boiling and then reduce heat
  • Cook slowly until mixture thickens.
  • Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal
  • About 8 pints.
  • Some may want to use pressure cooker for canning (10 min.)

    Place them in a pot of boiling water a few min. and remove. Place them in ice water immediately & the skins will peel right off. Lol
