Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put all ingredients, except butter, into a blender.
  • Blend at high speed for 2 minutes.
  • Pour into the top of a double boiler.
  • Cook over gently boiling water, stirring until warmed.
  • Add butter and stir to incorporate the butter.
  • Cook an additional 12-15 minutes.
  • Pour into a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  • Bring to room temperature and refrigerate until ready to use.

    I grew up in Kansas City, MO and we loved Durkees on all kinds of sandwich meats especially post-Thanksgiving turkey!

    I can't wait to see if this works! I live in Ecuador and you can bet you can't find Durkees here.

    I live in Missouri and thankfully I can find this dressing here. Originally from California, I wasn't familiar with Durkees Dressing. It's very good in a Chicken Salad recipe I have. That is how I ventured out to find this sauce! I'm going to keep your recipe handy in the event no more will be sold here as well! Thank you!
