Overnight Lunch Brunch Dish Recipe
One of those potluck dishes, you taste and ask for the recipe. It is surprisingly easy and very tasty to eat. A once a month appearance at the Church pot luck, easily doubled and never any left.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup of uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 - 2 1/2 ounce jar of dried beef, rinsed, dried, and chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup of chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup of grated sharp pepper
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese, cubed and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of finely milled black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 dashes of favorite hot sauce

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Pour into a one and half quart buttered casserole.
  3. cover and refrigerate overnight. (must do this step)
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
  5. Can add some crushed goldfish crackers dotted with extra butter over the top for the last 15 minutes of baking if you want a crunchier topping. Sprinkle with chopped green onion tops to make it pretty.

I like chipped beef too. This is really quite good and very economical for a crowd.


I get dried beef from the butcher and I'm always on the look out for good recipes to use it in. Thanks a bunch it sounds yummy!
