Butterscotch Cashew Bars

- Bottom: shopping list
- 1 C plus 2 Tb butter, softened shopping list
- 3/4 C plus 2 Tb packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2 1/2 C flour shopping list
- 1 3/4 tsp salt shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1 pkg butterscotch chips shopping list
- 1/2 C plus 2 Tb light corn syrup shopping list
- 3 Tb butter shopping list
- 2 Tsp water shopping list
- 2 1/2 C salted cashew halves shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar for bottom.
- Combine flour and salt and add to creamed mixture.
- Press into a greased 15x10x1 pan and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. - Should be lightly browned.
- Combine chips, corn syrup, butter and water in a sauce pan.
- Stir over medium heat until melted.
- Spread over crust.
- Sprinkle on cashews and press down lightly.
- Bake for approx. 12 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned.
- Cool and cut.
