- 2 ounces white chocolate, chunked shopping list
- 1 pint raspberries shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- butterscotch caramel part: shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Tear hamburger buns into large chunks.
- Place into a sheet pan.
- Put into a 325° oven to toast. About 12 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool.
- While bread is cooling, in a large bowl, whisk eggs well.
- Add sugar and mix well.
- Add the creams and mix to combine well.
- Rub a heavy baking dish with butter and add bread mixture to the dish.
- Pour egg mixture over top bread and work it with your hands.
- Be careful not to break up the bread too much. (Been there and done that!)
- Soak for 15 minutes.
- Use your hands, clean of course, and make sure the egg mixture is evenly distributed in the pan.
- Use your palm and press it down to let any bubbles come to the top.
- Make the raspberry topping by pressing the chunks of white chocolate into the above mixture.
- Do the same by putting the raspberries on top of the chocolate. Don't smoosh them though!
- Cover with plastic wrap and then with foil.
- Place into a 325° oven for 45 minutes, or until puffy and cake test comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Butterscotch Caramel Topping:
- Combine sugar and water in a heavy bottom saucepan.
- DO NOT STIR, although you can swirl them.
- Place over high heat and allow to simmer until the mixture turns an amber color, about 20 minutes.
- Once mixture reaches desired color, remove from heat.
- Carefully add the cream and butter to the heated mixture.
- The mixture will boil up rapidly so stir quickly and well.
- Add the vinegar and stir again.
- Pour over the bread pudding.
- Serve in your choice of dessert dishes.
- IT IS TERRIFIC!!!
