Ingredients
  • 8 Eggs in shell

Directions
  1. Lay eggs on bottom of the pot
  2. Try not to stack your eggs (it's better to do it in batches than overfill your pot)
  3. Fill with water so it's an inch over the eggs
  4. Put on high heat and bring to a rapid boil
  5. Let boil for 12 minutes
  6. Remove from heat
  7. Remove the eggs immediately from the pot (I use a slotted spoon) and plunge them into cold water until you can pick them out of the water without burning your hands (a bit under a minute)

OK now I have 8 hard boiled eggs....what do I do now?????? Just kidding you, my foodie friend. I roll them before putting them in a cold bath and water gets under the shell. OK deviled or salad...no scramble.

After mine comes to a boil I pull the pot off the hot burner and let them steam for 15 min. Do not take lid off until time is up. Then I pour water off & rinse them quickly under cold running water. When they have cooled to where I can handle them without being burned I roll & crack the shells. I then pour cold water over them again in pot. When ready peel!
