How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick cooking spray. Pound chicken breasts to 1/4-inch thickness. Place bisquick, salt and pepper in a gallon-size ziploc bag. Add chicken breasts to bag and turn to coat. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Saute chicken breasts 2-4 minutes per side, just until browned. Transfer to prepared pan. Set aside.
  • Add mushrooms and wine to skillet. Saute 3-4 minutes, scraping up browned bits. Pour over chicken. Bake, covered, for 45 minutes.

I am re-looking at this recipe, is there anything you can use in place of the wine? I'm just not a wine cooking gal. Oh, and watch how you talk about blondes.......:)

Whenever a recipe calls for flour I use Bisquick, I just forgot to amend the directions.

You could probably use either one, as they are both just there for coating, right Sunny? I just did a similar dish from here but with fish called Salmon Marsala, oh it was sooo good. I like the idea of this also. Will definitely be making it, but with flour LOL

Sounds very good, but you in the ingredient list it lists Bisquick, but in the directions it says "put the flour s&P in a bag ..." ? :-)
