Oatmeal Cream Girdle Scones

- 1 1/2 cups cake flour shopping list
- 1tbsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/3 cup quick cooking oatmeal shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces shopping list
- 2 eggs, well beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream shopping list
How to make it
- Stir the flour and baking powder together into a bowl; stir in the oatmeal
- Rub in butter and beat in the eggs.
- Make a well in the center and pour in the cream
- Stir to create a soft, elastic dough
- On a floured surface,roll the dough out to a 3/4-inch thickness
- divide the dough in half.
- divide each half into four and form into rough bisquit shapes
- place the scones in a moderatley hot, lightly oiled heavy frying pan
- cook for 10 -12 minuts, turning once as they brown.
- Serve warm with butter and jam
