Blue Ribbon Overnight Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten

Directions
  1. In large bowl mix together yeast, milk and sugar then let stand for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix eggs, butter and salt into yeast mixture.
  3. Mix in flour 2 cups at a time then cover with wax paper.
  4. Let dough stand at room temperature overnight.
  5. In the morning divide dough in half then roll each half into a 9" round circle.
  6. Cut each round into 12 pie shaped wedges.
  7. Roll up each wedge starting from wide end to the tip.
  8. Place on greased cookie sheets.
  9. Let stand until ready to bake then bake at 375 for 15 minutes.

I am always looking for good easy dinner roll recipes. Thanks for the addition to my collection.


I tried this recipe last night following it to a tee. The dinner rolls are still rising, but I split the dough in half and made cinnamon rolls which just came out of the oven. They are delicious! Great recipe.
