Apple Pie Recipe

This is the recipe I use to make apple pie. I love it!

Ingredients
- 2 Pillsbury pie crusts (or homemade if you have the skill/time)
- 6 cups peeled, sliced apples
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 tbs flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- -Crumble Top-
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbs butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Peel and slice apples
- Line pie pan with crust
- In a large bowl stir together sugar, flour (2 tbs), cinnamon, and nutmeg
- Add apple sliced to mixture
- Pour apple mixture into pie pan, trim crust
- Prepare crumble topping by mixing 1/2 cup flour and brown sugar.
- Cut in butter to topping with pastry blender until it resembles crumbs
- Sprinkle apple filling with the crumble topping
- Bake for 60 minutes then cool and enjoy!

A friend and I communally made this and we added 2 Tbsp lemon juice, 1/3 cup butter and doubled the nutmeg in the apples. It's a bit richer that way and works well with the crumb topping.

I didn't add any flour to the crumbly topping, so it made a nice crispy, sweet coating on top of the pie. Also, I sprinkled some cinnamon into the crumble topping and it added a little more flavor.
