This was a hit at a Russian Christmas party we attended. A couple changes that I made: added half an onion, only used half of the preservers called in the recipe, I added some sliced chicken sausage (with casing removed) with the chicken pieces, used Catalina with bacon dressing, added 4 more pieces of bacon chopped. This was devoured at the party.

My mother made this when we were young. 40 years later, my brother & I each asked for the recipe and she couldn't remember it. Can't wait to tell him I found it here!

Try breading the chicken with Progresso bread crumbs or whatever you prefer before baking or cooking in a crock pot with the mixture. It is phenomenal!

Thanks, I used to make this in the oven, and gave up when I could not find Russian dressing. I will find your Russian dressing today, thanks. FYI in desperation I have substituted Catalina for Russian dressing.

The photo of this dish has me salivating like Pavlov's dog. How much chicken do you use when you make it? Do you use white or dark or a combination of the two. I'm inclined to want to use some of both, boned and skinned.

Some people have been asking me where to find Russian Dressing, I know only some Grovery Stores carry it around here, so I posted my Russian Dressing Recipe, but it ususally takes a double batch of that recipe to use in this one. I hope that helps!!
