Homemade chai tea.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon stick, 3 inches
  • 6 cardamom seeds, crushed
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Whipped cream
  • ground cinnamon

Directions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, tea bags, cinnamon stick, cardamom, clove and ginger.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and cover.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in milk.
  6. Return to boil for 1 minute.
  7. Strain.
  8. Discard tea bags and spices.
  9. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
  10. Ladle into mugs.
  11. Top with whipped cream and ground cinnamon.
