Steamed Stir Fry Cabbage

- 1 small cabbage, finely shredded shopping list
- 4 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped shopping list
- ½ onion, peeled and chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp sweet paprika shopping list
- 1 tsp hot paprika shopping list
- 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Steam cabbage until tender, but firm, about 20 minutes since steam starts to flow (if you do not want steamed cabbage, just boil it in salty water)
- Heat oil in large shallow pan. Add garlic and onion. Let it cook on medium heat till onion is transparent, stirring constantly, about 4 minutes. Be careful not to burn garlic.
- Add cabbage to pan (well drained if boiled in water), mix well and let it cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes.
- Spoon paprikas over cabbage and quickly mix it until vegetable is well coated and no lumps of paprika remains. Pour the 2 Tbsp of vinegar, let alcohol evaporate on high flame, about 1 minute, and add salt to taste.
- Serve this as a side dish or as first vegetable course.
