How to make it

  • Steam cabbage until tender, but firm, about 20 minutes since steam starts to flow (if you do not want steamed cabbage, just boil it in salty water)
  • Heat oil in large shallow pan. Add garlic and onion. Let it cook on medium heat till onion is transparent, stirring constantly, about 4 minutes. Be careful not to burn garlic.
  • Add cabbage to pan (well drained if boiled in water), mix well and let it cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes.
  • Spoon paprikas over cabbage and quickly mix it until vegetable is well coated and no lumps of paprika remains. Pour the 2 Tbsp of vinegar, let alcohol evaporate on high flame, about 1 minute, and add salt to taste.
  • Serve this as a side dish or as first vegetable course.
