Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 6 eggs (yolks), well beaten
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon real vanilla
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 package vanilla wafers
  • 4 or 5 medium size bananas, sliced

Directions
  1. Mix sugar, flour, egg yolks, and milk together in a saucepan.
  2. Cook until thickened. (usually takes about 25 minutes)
  3. After thickened add vanilla and butter.
  4. Set side to cool slightly.
  5. Layer vanilla wafers alternately with sliced bananas.
  6. Pour cooled pudding over all and top with whipped cream.... or cool whip.......
