Homemade German Chocolate Cake Frosting Recipe

This is another of my mother's fabulous desserts, she never made the cake from scratch but always the frosting.

Ingredients
- 6oz can evaporated milk
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 egg, beaten slightly
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 & 1/3 c flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Directions
- Combine milk, sugar, butter and egg in saucepan, stir constantly and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and cool for a few minutes.
- Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans.
- It's ready to frost the cake.
