I recently ate at Morimoto in Philly and one of my dishes was sashimi with spiced oils - I can't tell you what the flavors were but I really enjoyed it. Its definitely a good use for spiced oil though

If you get really adventurous you can make a more traditional spicy oil that has a much more robust, earthy flavor. It involves toasting the peppers in a saute pan, then added the oil and continuing to heat. This, of course, vaporizes some of the capsaicin in the natural pepper oil and makes you cough...a lot. Be sure to have a good kitchen hood to vent the vapor outside.
